Lead Carpenter
The Lead Carpenter is crucial to delivering a successful project from design handoff through completion. This role requires a strong work ethic, self-motivation, a positive attitude, and the ability to take direction. Lead Carpenters should be experienced in all phases of residential remodeling and construction and comfortable taking ownership of the project onsite.
Working closely with the Project Manager, carpenters, design team, and subcontractors. The Lead Carpenter oversees day-to-day jobsite activities, including scheduling, materials, safety, quality control, inspections, and communication. They are responsible for coordinating the work of onsite employees and subcontractors while keeping the project moving forward.
Ultimately, the Lead Carpenter executes the project to Carey’s standards for quality, professionalism, and craftsmanship while maintaining the schedule and budget. As a trusted onsite representative of Carey Design Build, they help create an organized, respectful, and positive experience for both the client and the team.

Production Manager
The Production Manager oversees the successful execution of all remodeling and new build projects. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to Carey Design Build’s quality standards while maintaining profitability and an exceptional client experience.
Working closely with Sales, Design, and Project Management, the Production Manager coordinates labor, materials, and subcontractors to ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to completion. This position also leads and develops Project Managers, Lead Carpenters, and Carpenters, ensuring strong planning, accountability, and consistent use of company systems and processes.
Ultimately, the Production Manager drives project performance, upholds company values, meets gross profit goals, and delivers high-quality projects that give clients peace of mind.

Project Architect
The Project Architect at Carey Design Build reports to the Design Manager and is responsible for creating detailed and structural designs for the project that are constructible and meet the client’s needs and expectations. The architect serves as the direct contact with the client throughout the project’s design phase and, in addition, follows the production of the project and is “out in front” of the production crew with design solutions and accurate, complete, and timely construction drawings.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture Degree Required; Master of Architecture Preferred
- Licensed in Michigan & Wisconsin to Practice Architecture
- Proficient in Revit, Sketch-up & Microsoft Office Products
- 5+ Years of Residential/Commercial Architecture Experience
- Architectural Portfolio
