PRODUCTION MANAGER
The Production Manager reports to the General Manager and oversees the successful execution of all remodeling, renovation, and new build projects. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to Carey Design Build’s quality standards while maintaining profitability and an exceptional client experience.
Working closely with Sales, Design, and Project Management, the Production Manager coordinates labor, materials, and subcontractors to ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to completion. This position also leads and develops Project Managers, Lead Carpenters, and Carpenters, ensuring strong planning, accountability, and consistent use of company systems and processes.
Ultimately, the Production Manager is responsible for driving project performance, upholding company values, meeting gross profit goals, and delivering high-quality projects that provide peace of mind to our clients.
Requirements
- 15 or more years of construction management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Strong understanding of construction documents, estimating, scheduling, and budgeting
- Strong team leadership, supervisory, and management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to hire, train, evaluate, and motivate field staff

PROJECT MANAGER
The Project Manager at Carey Design Build reports to the Production Manager and uses planning and organizational tools and systems to oversee and coordinate the construction of assigned projects. The Project Manager ensures projects are delivered with high quality, on schedule, within budget, and with a focus on exceeding client expectations.

- 10 or more years of construction project management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Strong understanding of construction documents, estimating, scheduling, and budgeting
- Working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
- Strong team leadership and supervisory skills

PROJECT ARCHITECT
The Project Architect at Carey Design Build reports to the Design Manager and is responsible for creating detailed and structural design of the project that is constructible and meets the client’s needs and expectations. The architect serves as direct contact with the client throughout the project’s design phase and, in addition to that, follows the production of the project and is “out in front” of the production crew with design solutions and accurate, complete, and timely construction drawings.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture degree required; Master of Architecture preferred
- Licensed in Michigan & Wisconsin to practice Architecture
- Proficient in Revit, Sketch-up & Microsoft Office products
- 5 or more years of experience in residential and commercial architecture with at least 2 years in remodeling
- Architectural portfolio
- Team player with a positive “can do” attitude
